  • Suitable for technical parts and housings

PETG

  • Excellent transparency
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Suitable for packaging and protective covers

Polycarbonate

  • Extreme strength and heat resistance
  • Suitable for protective glass and technical covers

PVC

  • Affordable and versatile
  • Suitable for advertising and construction parts

Other thermoplastics

  • PP, PS, PE, POM – ask for advice on choosing the right material!

How does plastic vacuum forming work?

Material preparation

  • A suitable plastic sheet is selected (such as ABS, PET, PMMA, PC, or PVC) with the required thickness and properties.
  • The plastic sheet is secured to a frame that holds it in place throughout the entire process.

Mold placement and vacuum forming

  • The softened plastic sheet is lowered onto the mold (typically a bottom negative mold).
  • Vacuum is immediately applied: air is sucked out from between the mold and plastic, which presses the plastic precisely to the mold’s shape.
  • If necessary, pressure (pressure vacuum forming) or mold cooling can be used as assistance.

Advantages

  • Fast production and lower material consumption
  • Suitable for different industries
  • Wide material selection and flexible solutions

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How quickly can I get my prototype or part?
Typically, a prototype or small series is completed within 5–7 working days after confirming the inquiry and drawings. For larger or more complex projects, we always agree on the schedule personally to ensure the best result. For urgent work, we also offer express service – let us know your needs and we’ll definitely find a suitable solution!
What plastic materials can be vacuum formed?
We work with a wide selection of thermoplastics, including ABS, PETG, polycarbonate (PC), PVC, PP, PS, PE and POM. Each material has its own advantages – for example, ABS is strong and impact resistant, PETG is transparent and chemically resistant, polycarbonate is especially suitable for protective covers and technical parts. If needed, we help choose the most suitable material for your project.
Do you also help with drawings, design and technical documentation?
Yes, our craftsmen help with both drawings and technical documentation preparation. If you don’t have a ready drawing, we can create it based on an idea or sample. We also advise on material and technology selection and, if necessary, prepare an initial prototype before serial production.
Can the service be ordered throughout Estonia and how does delivery work?
Yes, our vacuum forming service is available throughout Estonia and, if needed, we deliver parts to neighboring countries as well. We send finished products by courier or to parcel machines, for larger orders we arrange personal transport. If needed, you can also pick up the products yourself from our production building in Riisipere.
How large or complex can a part be?
Our equipment allows forming parts with dimensions up to 2000 x 3000 mm and material thickness of 0.5–10 mm. We manufacture both small and large-scale parts with complex shapes. If you have a special or technically demanding project, definitely contact us – we’ll find a suitable solution!
What are typical application areas?
Vacuum formed plastic parts are widely used in various industries: automotive, electronics, medicine, advertising, packaging, protective covers and many others. We provide solutions for both industrial clients and designers, developers and individuals.
What affects vacuum forming pricing?
The price is primarily influenced by part dimensions, material type and thickness, batch size, work complexity and the need for mold manufacturing. Every project is different, which is why we always prepare a personalized quote after the initial inquiry and, if necessary, clarifying questions.
Can I order just one part or a small quantity?
Yes, we manufacture both individual prototypes and small series. For small quantities, quick response and flexibility are especially important – that’s exactly what our service offers. We also help with prototype improvement before larger batch production if needed.
